No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (14-16) beat at home 8th ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (12-18) 82-71. American forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) fired 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Peshon Howard (190-90, college: USC) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Naturalized American forward Aaron Perez (196-86, college: Oklah.Baptist) produced 16 points and American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 14-16 record. Garra Canera de Navolato at the other side keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's next round opponent will be league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Garra Canera de Navolato will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#3) and hope to win that game.
