Liga Ouro top team - Botafogo F.R. (15-5) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Brusque (1-17) 87-66. Botafogo F.R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Abner Moreira (206-89, college: Idaho St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American point guard Jamaal Smith (175-85, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Botafogo F.R. players scored in double figures. Willian da-Silva (200-81) produced 20 points and forward Pedro Rio (203-96) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Botafogo F.R. maintains first place with 15-5 record. Brusque lost their fourth game in a row. They stay dead last with 17 lost games.
