Strangely Bucaros outrebounded Sabios 47-31 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian guard Shamar Coombs (185-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian guard Ashton Smith (187-89, college: Indiana, PA) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jair Jaimes replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Miguel Bermudez added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bucaros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sabios will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bucaros will play on the road against Cimarrones (#1) in Quibdo-Choco to get more than just one victory in their record.
