Benfica held off Oliveirense to celebrate the second straight win. Benfica made 28-of-32 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Benfica had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 52.9 percentage. Benfica players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Oliveirense was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga) notched 17 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Carlos Andrade (197-78, college: Queens, NC) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Benfica players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by the former international forward Arnette Hallman (200-88) did not help to save the game for Oliveirense. American swingman Carlos Morris (196-92, college: Minnesota, agency: AproK Sports Group) added 17 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
