There was no surprise in Bullcreek where 12th ranked Eagles (2-10) were defeated by fourth ranked Lightning (8-4) 88-71 on Friday. Lightning forced 21 Eagles turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Ali Schwagmeyer (180-90, college: Quincy) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import forward Sydnee Fipps (178, college: Cal-Davis) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. Canadian power forward Kaylee Kilpatrick (193-93, college: New Hampshire) responded with 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Eryn Fisher scored 9 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Lightning maintains fourth place in League with 8-4 record. Loser Eagles dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Lightning will face Tigers (#5) in Willeton in the next round. Eagles will play on the road against the league's leader Hawks (#1) in Floreat and hope to win that game.
