Not a big story in a game in Leederville where 11th ranked Suns (2-11) were defeated by third ranked Senators (9-4) 82-73 on Friday. Senators dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Suns' 38. Senators forced 27 Suns turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Kisha Lee (182-85, college: UNLV) who led her team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Center Amber Land (188) helped adding 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four Senators players scored in double figures. Power forward Jennie Rintala (-90) responded with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Tahlia Fejo scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Suns' coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Senators maintains third place in League with 9-4 record behind leader Kilsyth LC. Loser Suns dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Senators will face Wanneroo (#7) in Joondalup in the next round. Suns will play on the road against Redbacks (#6) in Northbridge and hope to win that game.
