Regular Season Round 11: Suncoast PC - Cairns D. 57-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Dolphins' (3-3) road victory over 9th ranked Clippers (1-2) 80-57 on Friday. Dolphins forced 20 Clippers turnovers. Clippers were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Rachel Pryor (184-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Alli Gloyd (185-92, college: Arizona) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Dolphins players scored in double figures. American forward Ashlee Wallis (178-88, college: La-Monroe) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import center Erica Carlson (193-88, college: Dixie St.) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Dolphins moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Clippers dropped to the tenth position with two games lost. Dolphins will face Force (#8) in Booval in the next round. Clippers will play on the road against Logan Thunder in Loganholme and hope to win that game.
