Regular Season Round 35: Hermosillo - Durango 96-94

Tenth-ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (9-24) gave a tough game to first ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (25-8) on Saturday. Rayos de Hermosillo managed to secure only two-point victory 96-94. However their fans expected much easier game. Aguilas Doradas de Durango was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 20-16 charge of Rayos de Hermosillo, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Anthlon Bell (190-93, college: Arkansas) helped adding 20 points. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) responded with 27 points and naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Rayos de Hermosillo and four Aguilas Doradas de Durango players scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-8 record. Aguilas Doradas de Durango lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 24 games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo are looking forward to face Caballeros de Culiacan (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against Pioneros Los Mochis and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
