Not a big story in a game in Belconnen where 4th placed Nationals (2-7) were rolled over by second ranked Geelong Supercats (8-3) 70-51 on Saturday. It was a great evening for international forward Sara Blicavs (188-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized British center Alexandra Bunton (198-93) helped adding 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Marianna Tolo (196-89, agency: ProDep Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Geelong Supercats keep a position of League leader. Loser Nationals keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Geelong Supercats will face Spectres (#3) in East Burwood in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nationals will play on the road against Lady Bandits in Albury and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
