Very predictable result in Joondalup where leader Hawks (12-0) defeated 7th ranked Wanneroo (5-8) 76-58 on Saturday. Hawks forced 22 Wanneroo turnovers. It was a great evening for New Zealand guard Antonia Edmondson (181-87) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Natalie Burton (194-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. Forward Klara Wischer (185-91, college: San Diego) responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and guard Shani Amos (170-91) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Hawks maintains first place in League with 12-0 record. Loser Wanneroo keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Hawks will face Eagles (#11) in Morley in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wanneroo will play at home against Senators (#3) and hope to win that game.
