There was no surprise in Albury where 7th ranked Frankston Blues (3-10) were outplayed by fifth ranked Bandits (6-6) 95-73 on Saturday. Bandits forced 20 Frankston Blues turnovers. Point guard Deba George (183-85) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists for the winners and American forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 23 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Alex Francis (198-91, college: Bryant, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and New Zealand power forward Tohi Smith-Milner (206-95, college: Polk State CC) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bandits maintains fifth place in League with 6-6 record. Loser Frankston Blues keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Bandits will face Canberra Gunners (#7) in Belconnen in the next round. Frankston Blues will play on the road against Sabres in Cheltenham and hope to win that game.
