Regular Season Round 5: Brisas - Sportiva Italiana 74-79

Another exciting game was between third ranked Sportiva Italiana and 4th placed Brisas where Sportiva Italiana (4-1) beat Brisas (3-2) on the road 79-74. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 25-12 last quarter charge of Brisas cut the lead to 79-74 at the end of the game. Forward Camilo Bustamante (187-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Francoise Diaz (-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Sportiva Italiana's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Felipe Oyarzun (187-89) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Ruben Molina (192-88) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Brisas. Four Brisas players scored in double figures. Sportiva Italiana keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Puente Alto and Liceo Curico. Brisas at the other side keep the fourth place with two games lost. Sportiva Italiana will play against league's second-placed Liceo Curico in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brisas will play against Stadio Italiano in Santiago and hope to get back on the winning track.
