Regular Season Round 11: S.Peninsula S. - Knox R. 55-68

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Sharks (4-7) were defeated at home by second ranked Knox Raiders (10-3) 68-55 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Rebecca Ott who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian guard Milica Ivanov (178-96) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Jamilee Pearce responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Brittany Carter (183-93, college: Illinois) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Knox Raiders maintains second place in League with 10-3 record having just one point less than leader Kilsyth LC. Loser Sharks dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Knox Raiders will face Cougars (#8) in McKinnon in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sharks will play on the road against Diamond Valley Eagles in Greensborough and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
