No shocking result in a game in Ulverstone where first ranked Spectres (12-2) won against 6th ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (4-8) 96-82 on Saturday. Spectres dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to NW Tasmania Thunder's 38. Sam McDonald (-84) stepped up and scored 30 points and 9 assists for the winners and Thomas Wright chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: N.C.Central) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Ahmad Starks (175-92, college: Illinois) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Spectres maintains first place in League with 12-2 record. Loser NW Tasmania Thunder keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Spectres will face Geelong Supercats (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. NW Tasmania Thunder will play against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners and hope to win that game.
