Not a big story in a game in Greenacres where 4th placed Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (5-3) were defeated by first ranked North Adelaide Rockets (7-1) 107-101 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets forced 25 Noarlunga City Southern Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including 17 on the offensive glass. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Aric Miller (190-90, college: Armstr.Atlantic) stepped up and scored 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) chipped in 27 points and 18 rebounds. At the losing side the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Mike Nwelue (196-93, college: Drury) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Four North Adelaide Rockets and five Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. North Adelaide Rockets maintains first place in League with 7-1 record. Loser Noarlunga City Southern Tigers keep the fourth position with three games lost. North Adelaide Rockets will face Woodville Warriors (#6) in Flinders Park in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will play at home against Sturt Sabres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
