There was no surprise when 9th ranked Hawks (4-7) were defeated at home by fifth ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (7-5) 76-59 on Saturday. Hawks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Cooper Wilks stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Polish swingman Stefan Blaszczynski (196-84, college: Nicholls St.) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. Four Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jarrod Sorenson responded with 4 points and 12 rebounds and guard Alexander Beagley scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Hawks' coach let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Hawks keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will face Crusaders (#7) in Terrigal in the next round. Hawks will play at home against Norths Soul Sports Bears and hope to win that game.
