Regular Season Round 13: Logan T. - Gold Coast R. 107-100

There was a minor upset in Loganholme where higher ranked Rollers (2-3) were defeated by eleventh ranked Logan T. (2-3) 107-100 on Saturday. Logan T. forced 19 Rollers turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Logan T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Rollers were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Mitch Young (206-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) stepped up and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and swingman Michael Cedar (190-86) chipped in 21 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side American forward Torrey Craig (198-90, college: USC Upstate) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import swingman Devon Sullivan (201-86, college: S.Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Five Logan T. and four Rollers players scored in double figures. Rollers' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Logan T. moved-up to seventh place in League. Logan T. will face Maroochydore Clippers (#13) in Cotton Tree in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rollers will play against Sunshine CR (#4) and hope to win that game.
