Regular Season Round 37: Durango - Los Mochis 103-108

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (17-19) beat on the road bottom-ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (9-26) 108-103. It was a great shooting night for Pioneros Los Mochis especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Nick Murphy (193-88, college: Jacksonville St.) fired a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Terrance Motley (201-91, college: Sam Houston St.) chipped in 28 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) produced a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 12 assists and the former international forward Stephen Soriano (200-85, college: Colorado Mesa) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Pioneros Los Mochis and four Aguilas Doradas de Durango players scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mazatlan and Guasave. Aguilas Doradas de Durango lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 26 lost games. Pioneros Los Mochis' next round opponent will be Caballeros de Culiacan (#9) at home. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against Garra Canera de Navolato and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
