Sixth-ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (18-20) gave a tough game to second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (25-13) on Saturday. The visitors from Ciudad Obregon managed to secure only two-point victory 106-104. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lobos UAD Mazatlan. 24 personal fouls committed by Lobos UAD Mazatlan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Landon Atterberry (198-93, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Aspire Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) helped adding 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's coach Eduardo Opezzo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was DJ White (206-86, college: Indiana) with 28 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and point guard Peshon Howard (190-90, college: USC) scored 27 points and 5 assists. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains second place with 25-13 record having three points less than leader Hermosillo. Defending champion Lobos UAD Mazatlan keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Guasave.
