Regular Season Round 6: Puente Alto - Aleman 64-51

Libcentro Pro top team - Puente Alto (5-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Aleman (2-4) 64-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aleman. The game was mostly controlled by Puente Alto. Aleman managed to win third quarter 15-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Puente Alto dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Aleman's 22. Puente Alto forced 25 Aleman turnovers. Swingman Francisco Pena (187-89) notched 17 points and 4 steals to lead the effort and guard Matias Sepulveda (-96) supported him with 13 points. Even a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by forward Marcelo Villagran (184-88) did not help to save the game for Aleman. Francisco Garrido (-88) added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Aleman's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Puente Alto maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Sportiva Italiana. Loser Aleman dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Puente Alto will meet Brisas (#4) in the next round. Aleman will play against Sergio Ceppi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
