Regular Season Round 13: SC Rip - SW Metro P. 75-76

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Pirates (3-4) edged on the road 11th ranked SC Rip (1-4) 76-75 on Friday. Swingman Stephanie Bairstow (188-94, college: Utah St.) fired 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American center Shelby Cheslek (196-92, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Pirates' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Leah Scott (183-93, college: Marshall) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Brooke Lemar (168-91, college: N.Dakota St.) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five SC Rip players scored in double figures. Pirates maintains ninth place in League with 3-4 record. Loser SC Rip dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Pirates will face higher ranked Power (#5) in Gladstone in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SC Rip will play on the road against Clippers (#11) in Cotton Tree and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
