Atenas defeated Stockolmo in Montevideo 90-85. Atenas forced 20 Stockolmo turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Stockolmo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Mauro Zubiaurre (181-94) chipped in 21 points during the contest. American forward Rashaun Stimage (202, college: De Paul) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds and forward Facundo Grolla (196-97) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stockolmo will play next round against Cordon trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo - Cordon.
