Regular Season Round 7: Brisas - Puente Alto 79-87

The game between Top Four teams took place in Santiago. 4th placed host Brisas (3-3) lost to first ranked Puente Alto (6-1) 87-79. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Puente Alto dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Brisas' 38. It was a great evening for the former international forward Antonio Pinedo (195-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Francisco Pena (187-89) helped adding 21 points. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Sascha Frings (202-86) responded with 31 points and 7 rebounds and Sebastian Fuentes (-95) scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Puente Alto maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Sportiva Italiana. Brisas at the other side keep the fourth position with three games lost. Puente Alto is looking forward to face Stadio Italiano (#7) in Santiago in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Brisas will play on the road against Arturo Prat in San Felipe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
