Regular Season Round 11: Aguilas - Caciques 81-82

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Liga DirecTV took place in Boyaca. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked Patriotas (3-8) to fifth ranked Caciques (5-4) 82-81 on Tuesday evening. Caciques dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Patriotas' 30. American players dominated the game. Guard Anthony Gurley (190-88, college: Massachusetts) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Justin Martin (198-90, college: SMU, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Forward Frisco Sandidge (198-87, college: Delaware St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Patriotas. Five Patriotas players scored in double figures. Caciques moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cimarrones. Patriotas at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Piratas. Caciques will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Patriotas will play again on the road against Caciques (#4) in Valleduparnga and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
