Regular Season Round 9: Our Saviour - UPDF 53-55

UPDF has finally registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they edged Our Saviour (0-4) 55-53 on Friday. UPDF forced 22 Our Saviour turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Our Saviour helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Stephen Wokorach stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and Dulton Mutawe chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Steven Mwesigye with 8 points and 11 rebounds and forward Peter Elungat (188-83) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. UPDF (1-2) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was Our Saviour's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Falcons. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
