Regular Season Round 16: Ipswich F. - Brisbane S. 88-102

Another interesting game for Brisbane Spartans (4-5) which played in Booval against 7th ranked Ipswich Force (3-6). Eighth ranked Brisbane Spartans had an easy win 102-88. The game was mostly controlled by Brisbane Spartans. Ipswich Force was better in third quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brisbane Spartans forced 19 Ipswich Force turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Ipswich Force was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard William McDowell-White (195-98, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists and international guard Adam Gibson (188-86) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard James Legan (190-87, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) responded with 26 points and forward Josh Derksen (206-95, college: Ky Wesleyan) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ipswich Force's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brisbane Spartans moved-up to seventh place in League. Ipswich Force at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Brisbane Spartans will play against Maroochydore Clippers (#12) in Cotton Tree in the next round where they are favorite. Ipswich Force will play against Sunshine CR and hopes to get back on the winning track.
