Regular Season Round 14: Kilsyth LC - Sandringham S. 68-52

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Sabres (4-9) lost to first ranked Lady Cobras (11-2) in Kilsyth 52-68 on Saturday. Lady Cobras dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Sabres' 24. They outrebounded Sabres 54-35 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Angela Beadle (190-93, college: Sam Houston St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Madeleine Garrick (178-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. New Zealand forward Jessica Bygate (186-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Ella Batish added 2 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sabres. Lady Cobras maintains first position in League with 11-2 record. Loser Sabres dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Lady Cobras will have a break next round. Sabres will play against Spectres (#3) and hope to win that game.
