There was no surprise when 8th ranked Hills Hornets (1-9) lost to fifth ranked Sharks (6-4) in Sutherland 61-72 on Saturday. Jane Scrivens orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Lisa Watkins contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Sharks' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Madison Hare replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and Sherrie Calleia added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hills Hornets. Sharks maintains fifth position in League with 6-4 record. Loser Hills Hornets keep the eighth place with nine games lost. Sharks will face higher ranked North Bears (#3) in Crows Nest in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hills Hornets will play on the road against Bruins (#4) in Condell Park and hope to win that game.
