We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Eagles (6-5) crushed 5th ranked Sabres (6-5) in Pasadena 89-67 on Saturday. Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sabres' 26. Forward Olivia Thompson (185-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Samantha Defrancesco contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Caroline Burgess (176-82) replied with 7 points and 11 rebounds and Sarah Elsworthy added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sabres. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eagles moved-up to fifth place in League.
