Regular Season Round 13: Sabios - Aguilas 72-77

Another exciting game was played in Manizales between seventh ranked Patriotas and 4th placed Sabios where Patriotas (4-9) won against Sabios (6-7) on the road 77-72. Sabios were ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 22-16 charge of Patriotas, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: Mass.-Lowell) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Patriotas players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Shamar Coombs (185-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Barbados forward Kregg Jones (203-91, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 10 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Sabios. Sabios' coach Ruddy Martinez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Patriotas maintains seventh place with 4-9 record, which they share with Piratas. Sabios lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Patriotas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sabios will play again at home against Patriotas (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
