Regular Season Round 16: Ringwood H. - McKinnon C. 100-99

Seventh-ranked McKinnon C. (6-7) was very close to win a game against first ranked Ringwood Hawks (12-3) in Heathmont on Saturday. Ringwood Hawks managed to secure only one-point victory 100-99. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by American guard Jacob Gibson (198-93, college: Harding) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Matthew Fennell supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by naturalized Croatian forward Ivan Platenik (201-83, college: Alaska-Anch.) did not help to save the game for McKinnon C.. American forward Dillon Stith (200-92, college: St.Vincent) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Five Ringwood Hawks and four McKinnon C. players scored in double figures. Ringwood Hawks maintains first position in League with 12-3 record. Loser McKinnon C. keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Ringwood Hawks will meet at home league's second-placed Knox Raiders in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. McKinnon C. will play against Hume City Broncos (#10) in Tullamarine and hope to secure a win.
