Regular Season Round 16: Knox R. - Hume City 100-88

Very expected game when 9th ranked Hume City Broncos (5-10) lost to second ranked Knox Raiders (11-4) in Wantirna South 88-100 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Knox Raiders. Hume City Broncos was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Knox Raiders looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hume City Broncos' players. It was a very good performance for American forward Christopher Kaba (203-88, college: N.Colorado) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized British guard Adam Thoseby (196-91, college: Georgia SW, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Forward Luke Egan (200-74, college: E.Washington) replied with 34 points (!!!) and American guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Hume City Broncos. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Knox Raiders maintains second position in League with 11-4 record having just nine point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Hume City Broncos dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Knox Raiders will face league's leader Ringwood Hawks in Heathmont in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hume City Broncos will play at home against McKinnon C. (#7) and hope to win that game.
