Rather predictable result when third ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (7-4) won against 7th ranked South Adelaide Panthers (5-6) in Park Holme 98-81 on Saturday. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers outrebounded South Adelaide Panthers 56-40 including a 43-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. South Adelaide Panthers were plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Mike Nwelue (196-93, college: Drury) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Robert Linton (193) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) replied with 41 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for South Adelaide Panthers. South Adelaide Panthers' coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Noarlunga City Southern Tigers went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser South Adelaide Panthers keep the seventh place with six games lost. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will face Woodville Warriors (#8) in Flinders Park in the next round. South Adelaide Panthers will play at home against Norwood Flames and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
