Regular Season Round 16: Sturt S. - Forestville E. 84-73

There was no surprise when 4th ranked Forestville Eagles (7-4) lost to second ranked Sturt Sabres (7-4) in Pasadena 73-84 on Saturday. Forestville Eagles were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Sam Daly (193-95, college: Chaminade) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. Guard Hamish Burns (190, college: Newberry) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sturt Sabres players scored in double figures. Sturt Sabres' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. John Mawut replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Jake Rios (188-86, college: Georgia Coll.) added 21 points in the effort for Forestville Eagles. Despite that victory Sturt Sabres went down to fifth position (League) due to points difference. Sturt Sabres will face higher ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (#3) in Woodville in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Forestville Eagles will play on the road against Central District Lions in Gawler and hope to win that game.
