Very expected game when 10th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (2-12) lost to sixth ranked Wildcats (7-6) in Eltham 58-74 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The former international swingman Alice Kunek (187-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-93) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Wildcats players scored in double figures. Forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Mikayla Pirini (169-96) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Diamond Valley Eagles.
