No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Magic (16-0) crushed 6th ranked Tigers (8-7) in Mandurah 98-54 on Sunday. Magic made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Nicolette Gilday orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 7 assists. Forward Carly Boag (188-95, college: Minot St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Magic's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and German power forward Jessica Hootmann (190-85) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Tigers. Magic maintains first position in League with 16-0 record. Loser Tigers keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Magic will face Redbacks (#7) in Northbridge in the next round where they are favorite. Tigers will play at home against Flames and hope to win that game.
