Regular Season Round 16: Brisbane C. - Logan T. 95-98

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Logan T. (4-5) edged on the road higher ranked Brisbane Capitals (6-1) 98-95 on Sunday. Logan T. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Logan T. had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Brisbane Capitals were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for swingman Michael Cedar (190-86) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Forward Mitch Young (206-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Logan T. players scored in double figures. Naturalized American forward Dusty Rychart (201-78, college: Minnesota) replied with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Aaron Anderson (178, college: N.Dakota) added 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Brisbane Capitals. Logan T. maintains eighth position in League with 4-5 record. Loser Brisbane Capitals keep the third place with one game lost. Logan T. will face higher ranked South West Metro Pirates (#6) in Runcorn in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brisbane Capitals will play on the road against Toowoomba Mountaineers and hope to win that game.
