Regular Season Round 14: Condores - Piratas 91-88

Important game to mention about took place in Cundinamarca. Sixth ranked Condores (6-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Piratas (4-10) 91-88 on Sunday evening. Strangely Piratas outrebounded Condores 47-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Piratas were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. International forward Luis Almanza (196-91) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American guard Brandon Givens (198-87, college: NC-Wesleyan) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Jhon Romero (199-85) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Five Condores and four Piratas players scored in double figures. Condores moved-up to fifth place. Piratas at the other side stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Aguilas. Condores will play against Patriotas (#7) in Boyaca in the next round. Piratas will play on the road against Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
