Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Fifth ranked Cordon (3-2) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Auriblanco (2-4) 72-70 on Wednesday evening. They outrebounded Auriblanco 37-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Nicolas Ibarra (192-82) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Agustin Zuvich (200-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Rodrigo Goncalvez replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and center Joaquin Jones (202-97) added 13 points and 4 steals in the effort for Auriblanco. Cordon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tabare. Auriblanco lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Colon and Capitol. Cordon will play against Colon (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Auriblanco's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Stockolmo.
