Very important is a home loss of second ranked Miramar (4-2) against sixth ranked Tabare (3-2) on Wednesday night. Host Miramar was defeated by Tabare in a tough game in Montevideo 88-94. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Miramar. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Miramar's 40. They outrebounded Miramar 48-36 including 35 on the defensive glass. American forward Charles McCann (193, college: LIU Post) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Agustin Cabillon (196-95) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jeffrey Fahnbulleh (200-85) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and guard Marcelo Nessi (188-94) scored 23 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Five Tabare and four Miramar players scored in double figures. Tabare have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cordon. Miramar at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Tabare will meet at home league's leader Atenas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Miramar will play against the league's second-placed Sayago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
