Regular Season Round 15: Rockingham CF - Stirling S. 67-73

Date: June 23, 2017
Not a big story in a game in Rockingham where 11th ranked Flames (4-14) were defeated by third ranked Senators (12-5) 73-67 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 27-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for center Amber Land (188) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Kisha Lee (182-85, college: UNLV) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. Senators' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Chelsea Armstrong (173-90) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Senators maintains third place in League with 12-5 record having just nine point less than leader Brisbane S. Loser Flames keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Senators will face Eagles (#12) in Morley in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Flames will play on the road against Slammers in Bunbury and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
