There was a minor upset in Melbourne where 6th ranked Tigers (3-12) were rolled over by sixth ranked Kilsyth Cobras (7-10) 88-66 on Saturday. Kilsyth Cobras dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers' 32. Forward Chris Patton (208-91, college: Cal-Riverside) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Kilsyth Cobras' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Tom Wilson (196-97, college: SMU) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Ari Stewart (200-90, college: USC) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Kilsyth Cobras maintains sixth place in League with 7-10 record which they share with defeated Tigers. Loser Tigers keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will face higher ranked Bandits (#5) in Albury in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
