Leading Mavericks (11-2) recorded its second loss in Goodwood. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Eagles (8-5) 77-76. Eagles forced 23 Mavericks turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mavericks' players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Olivia Thompson (185-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Meg Prosser accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Eagles' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Kedeisha Kartinyeri came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alex Wilson (174-94) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mavericks in the defeat. Five Eagles and four Mavericks players scored in double figures. Eagles maintains fifth place in League with 8-5 record. Mavericks at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. Eagles will play against Panthers (#9) in Adelaide in the next round. Mavericks will play on the road against Sabres (#6) in Pasadena and hope to get back on the winning track.
