Regular Season Round 15: Fast Break - Academia 63-57

The game between Top Four teams took place in Bogota. First ranked host Fast Break (13-1) defeated second-best Academia (9-7) 63-57. They outrebounded Academia 45-32 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international forward Michael Hinestroza-Javes (208-90, college: UALR) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Nigerian-American guard Henry Uhegwu (191-82, college: S.Utah) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Fast Break's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Divier Perez (201-89) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Puerto Rican guard Gary Diaz (193-92) scored 14 points. Fast Break have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Newly promoted Fast Break maintains first place with 13-1 record. Academia lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the second position with seven games lost. Fast Break are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Academia in Montana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Academia will have a break next round.
