Maitland Mustangs made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American forward Tyler Monroe (201, college: Azusa Pacific) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Terrell Turner chipped in 26 points. Naturalized Croatian power forward Goran Veg (205) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (198-89, college: Metro St.) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Maitland Mustangs moved-up to third place in League. Loser Hills Hornets keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Maitland Mustangs will face Spiders (#5) in Hornsby in the next round.
