Regular Season Round 17: Sunshine CR - Ipswich F. 98-96

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Ipswich Force (3-7) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Sunshine CR (6-1) 98-96 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The game without a history. Sunshine CR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sunshine CR outrebounded Ipswich Force 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Ipswich Force was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Isaih Tueta (187-91) stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Joshua Tueta (202-89, college: MSU-Northern) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. American guard James Legan (190-87, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) responded with 37 points (!!!) (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Kyle Harvey (196-91, college: Williams Baptist) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sunshine CR moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Ipswich Force dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Sunshine CR will face Toowoomba Mountaineers (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ipswich Force will play against Brisbane Capitals (#3) and hope to win that game.
