They outrebounded SC Rip 52-25 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Markel Walker (185-90, college: UCLA) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) helped adding 18 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Claire OBryan (178-93, college: Bucknell) with 23 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Leah Scott (183-93, college: Marshall) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Force moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser SC Rip keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Force will face higher ranked Capitals (#7) in Brisbane in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SC Rip will play at home against Mountaineers (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
