This time South Adelaide Panthers used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Flinders Park 76-65 on Saturday night. South Adelaide Panthers forced 19 Woodville Warriors turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 46 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when South Adelaide Panthers made 35 blocks. American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 12 assists and 6 steals for the winners and forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) chipped in 7 points and 11 assists. Forward Luke Stanbridge (192-90) responded with 26 points and 6 assists and center Daniel Carlin (206-93, college: Westmont) scored 7 points and 10 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. South Adelaide Panthers maintains seventh place in League with 6-7 record. Loser Woodville Warriors keep the eighth position with eight games lost. South Adelaide Panthers will face league's second-placed Forestville Eagles in Goodwood in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Woodville Warriors will play on the road against Norwood Flames (#4) in Marden and hope to win that game.
