An interesting game for Liceo Curico (6-2) which hosted in Curico second-best Puente Alto (6-3). Third ranked Liceo Curico managed to get a 11-point victory 76-65. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Liceo Curico forced 26 Puente Alto turnovers. Strangely Puente Alto outrebounded Liceo Curico 39-21 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Marcelo Perez (193-99) stepped up and scored 25 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Mohunir Zerene (187-94) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was swingman Diego Valenzuela (185-94) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sebastian Silva (187-91) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Liceo Curico moved-up to second place. Puente Alto at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Liceo Curico will play against Brisas (#4) in Santiago in the next round. Puente Alto will play at home against Sergio Ceppi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
