Rather expected game in Park Holme where 7th ranked South Adelaide Panthers (6-7) were defeated by fifth ranked Norwood Flames (8-5) 93-75 on Sunday. Norwood Flames had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. South Adelaide Panthers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Matthew Lycett (194-90) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American forward Jerrell Sanders (198, college: Ferris St.) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Norwood Flames players scored in double figures. Forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Norwood Flames moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser South Adelaide Panthers keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Norwood Flames will face Woodville Warriors (#8) in Flinders Park in the next round. South Adelaide Panthers will play at home against the league's second-placed Forestville Eagles and hope to win that game.
